Robert Graham brings more than two decades of premier hospitality experience, around the country and the world, to his role of Executive Chef at Royal Sonesta Houston. In this capacity, Graham oversees the culinary direction for ARA Restaurant, TableOne chef’s table, Axis Lounge, Launch grab and go café cafe/coffee shop, 24-hour in-room dining and banquet service for the hotel’s 50,000 square feet of meeting and event space – the site of many of Houston’s most notable  social happenings, weddings and galas. 
Prior to joining the Royal Sonesta Houston team, Graham was the Executive Chef at the private El Dorado Golf & Beach Club in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico. From 2011
until 2015, he was based in Florida and served as the Executive Chef of The Ritz - Carlton, Sarasota, as well as the prestigious Isleworth Country Club – recognized as one of the Top 100 Platinum Clubs of the World in Windemere. Before that, he was the Executive Chef for The Club at The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, an exclusive golf course community just north of San Diego, CA.
Graham formally began his career in the culinary arts at Long Island New York’s legendary Piping Rock Country Club, where he worked as a Chef Garde Manger and Sous Chef. His early training continued at landmark restaurants, including The Watermark in Sydney, Australia, and Manhattan’s Tavern on the Green, where Graham served under Master Chef John Johnstone as Executive Sous Chef. In the late 1990s, Graham headed west to fulfill his first Executive Chef post at the Uptown Bistro in Frisco, CO, and from 2000 until 2007 was the Executive Chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix in Arizona. While employed by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, he also supported pre-openings for The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes in Florida, The Ritz Carlton New York, Battery Park in Manhattan, The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch in Beaver Creek, CO and The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay in Orange County, CA.
Graham attended Florida Culinary Institute in West Palm Beach, FL, Florida International Fine Arts College in Miami, FL and Regency Cooking School in Bali, Indonesia.
