One Boston Day serves as an opportunity to celebrate the resiliency, generosity, and strength demonstrated by the people of Boston and those around the world in response to the tragedy of April 15th, 2013.
Royal Sonesta Boston is proud to support to the following foundations: East End House and MIT's Office Sean A. Collier Self-Scholarship Fund.
We aspire to greet every Sonesta guest with a spirit of warmth and welcoming. Those aspirations extend deep into the heart of our hotels – right into the lives of our employees. In fact, we consider ourselves more than a hotel. We’re a member of the communities we serve. Learn more about Sonesta's Culture of Caring.
MIT's Officer Sean A. Collier Self-Scholarship Fund
MIT’S Officer Sean A. Collier Self-Sponsor Scholarship funds one annual recruit to work through the Lowell Police Academy (LPA), just as Officer Collier self-sponsored himself through the Transit Academy to start his law enforcement career. Sean Collier was tragically shot and killed while defending MIT’s campus community during the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings.
