Robert Haislip

General Manager

Bob Haislip

Bob Haislip has been with Royal Sonesta Harbor Court since May 2012 and has successfully managed the 203-room property located at Baltimore’s beautiful Inner Harbor. His duties include overseeing all aspects of the hotel business including finance and budgeting, food & beverage, human resources, housekeeping and front desk as well as sales & marketing.

Through his dedicated leadership, the hotel has received a number of awards including an Employee Engagement Award for Full Service Hotels, a Financial Performance Award for full service hotels and a Guest Satisfaction Award for full service hotels. In addition, he led the hotel through an $11 million renovation of the hotel, having retained a 4 Diamond status after completing.Haislip has over thirty years of experience in the food & beverage and hotel arenas and brings his passion for hospitality and business acumen to the table.

In the past, he has worked for companies such as Lansdowne Resort/Benchmark Hospitality, Chateau on the Lake Resort/JQH Hotels, Hilton San Pedro/Meristar Hotels, Doubletree Hotels, and Marriott, among others. Haislip also serves on the Legislative Board for the MHLA (Maryland Hotel Lodging Association) and is an active member of his church choir.

 
 

Richard Bryant

Director of Sales & Marketing

Richard Bryant

Richard Bryant was named the hotel’s director of sales & marketing in October 2015. Bryant is responsible for overseeing the sales team, managing budgets, cultivating leads, prospecting new clients and working with the public relations and senior staff teams on hotel marketing campaigns and initiatives.

With over twenty years of experience in the sales arena, Bryant brings his fresh perspective, energetic personality and strong leadership skills to the property as he guides all sales strategies towards maximizing hotel revenue. Previously, Bryant has worked in the same capacity at the Sheraton Baltimore North in Towson, and the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel. In addition, Bryant worked at the Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association as director of national accounts and at the Richmond Convention and Visitors Bureau as assistant director of sales/national sales manager.

 
 
 
 

Chef William Reed

Chef Will

Chef Will joined us from the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Oxon Hill, Maryland where he served as the Senior Sous Chef. Prior to this role he has served in the capacity of Executive Sous and Sous Chef at numerous Marriott properties in the Baltimore region. Chef Will’s extensive background in both banquets and fine dining will delight guests and clients.

 

Chef Will oversees the hotel’s delivery of Food is Art – Sonesta’s focus on delivering creative, locally inspired menus that assist the hotel in immersing its guests in the local culture. He also manages day-to- day functions of the culinary team, creating menus for catering and private events, processing food and beverage orders, hiring and training of employees and other management functions at the hotel.
