Explorers, an American Gastropub offers casual evening appetizers and cocktails on the weekend (Friday's & Saturday's) in addition to classic and creative cocktails. Our talented Chef and Brigade of Culinary artists have a menu full of popular favorites and new exciting creations.

The Globe-Trotting Founders of Explorers curated the original décor with treasures collected during their travels. While re:imagining Explorers, we toured the world’s myriad cuisines in search of a new concept for our fabled room. Finally, we stumbled upon a select group of Establishments; “The American Gastropub.”

We heard from you, our guests, that you wanted great food and great drinks in a casual yet upscale setting. Originally hailing from the British Isles, a Gastropub balances the importance of delicious food with a creative drink menu all in a comfortable atmosphere. This was a perfect match! With Exploration as our “true north” we offer comfort food with a bit of culinary flair and indigenous ingredients, locally sourced beers and craft spirit based cocktails. We strive to bring you the best our region has to offer and with service to match!

Try the Harbor Court Honey Wings prepared with product harvested from the hotel's own apiary. Did you know we have 50,000 honey bees on our 7th floor apiary? The excess honey can be harvested for use in our Chef’s creative recipes which are un-BEE-lievable!

Executive Chef Will Reed has over 20 plus years in the culinary field with his formal education / training from Baltimore International College for the Culinary Arts. He successfully assisted with the re-positioning of Explorers from its traditional American cuisine to an amazing American gastro-pub. Explorers has a marriage of high-end food with a casual dining experience. Through the use of locally sourced farms as well as Maryland staples such as the traditional crab cake and a pan seared rockfish. Lastly, the bar’s focus point is the barrel aged whiskey using local and national whiskeys aged right on location.

You’ll also be treated to exquisite waterfront dining—Baltimore style–with lovely harbor ocean views.Inspired by safari legends and adventure lore, the exotic Explorers is lavishly decorated with hand-painted murals, adventure memorabilia and fine antiques that makes for a unique experience for dining Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.

The whimsical Explorers abounds with a British Empire, safari-inspired décor with animal murals, faux leopard-skin chairs, exceptional antiques, dark wood and leather furniture, and other quality embellishments and conversation pieces. Make your way to the Alcove for a private meeting, or whispered conversation. Or reserve the Alcove for intimate private parties.

Explorers has an extensive collection of Single Malt Scotch's: Macallan 12-25 years; Glenfiddich 12-18 years; Johnny Walker (green, red, black, gold and blue). We are also proud to tempt you with our finest selection of cognacs from XO, VSOP, and even Louis XIII. Test the expertise of our expert mixologist who is prepared to concoct any beverage you can imagine!
