The health and well-being of our guests and employees is our top priority. Which is why Sonesta has partnered with Forbes Travel Guide and have developed a rigorous new health and cleanliness program, Stay Safe with Sonesta, for all of our US properties.
Sonesta is the first hotel company to be Sharecare Health Security VERIFIED with Forbes Travel Guide across its managed hotel portfolio, demonstrating Sonesta’s keen commitment to the health and safety of our guests and team members.
In partnership with Forbes Travel Guide, Sharecare’s comprehensive verification process ensures that guests and travel planners can book with confidence, knowing that the appropriate health and safety protocols and procedures are in place at Sonesta hotels.
Each of our 250-plus hotel’s health and safety protocols and procedures will be verified using Sharecare’s health security platform to confirm that a comprehensive set of public health standards are met or exceeded, including Sonesta’s own successful Stay Safe with Sonesta health and cleanliness program.
Working with Ecolab Inc., a leading provider of cleaning and disinfecting solutions for the hospitality industry, we have designed the Stay Safe with Sonesta program to meet or exceed applicable CDC and/or government requirements and guidance related to the Coronavirus pandemic. The program will continue to evolve as we revise our protocols to follow updated guidance from public health authorities for the protection of our guests and employees.
In accordance with CDC Guidelines, guests who are in areas of high or substantial transmission of COVID-19 are encouraged to wear face coverings in all indoor public spaces, regardless of vaccination status. Face coverings are still required for individuals who are not fully vaccinated. Please note that state or local laws may differ from the above—please check with the front-desk team on the policy if you have any questions or concerns.
Enhanced Public Area Cleaning and Sanitizing Rigorous cleaning protocols, including frequent sanitizing of public areas and other high traffic/high contact touch points, using Ecolab hospital-grade (CDC-approved) cleaning products.
Enhanced Guest Service Measures Signage and guidance to encourage appropriate physical distancing; limited-contact check-in/out procedures; modified food and beverage offerings, including single-serve items; hand sanitizer stations provided at the property entrance, front desk, fitness center, elevators, lobby and other high-traffic areas.
Enhanced Guest Room Cleaning and Sanitizing Protocols Updated guest room cleaning and sanitizing protocols, following the latest CDC recommendations and using Ecolab hospital-grade (CDC-approved) cleaning products, sealing guest room doors for new arrivals, and the removal of non-essential items.
Team Member Safety and Preparedness Enhanced Stay Safe with Sonesta training, masks, gloves and other protective equipment provided for employees, along with daily health checks.
Enhanced Meeting and Event Space Protocols Room set-ups with appropriate physical distancing, removal of non-essential items, enhanced cleaning and sanitizing protocols, and modified food and beverage offerings, including single-serve items.
