• Each guest room has an individual climate control with a motion sensor that determines if the room is occupied. 

• Air conditioning and lights are controlled by a building automated system and turned off when meeting rooms are not in use.

Lift off at Launch, our one-stop shop offering everything needed to start your day or cool down for the evening featuring PJ’s coffee, healthy chef-inspired bites and curated notions. 

Boasting a prime location and chic ambiance, Axis Lounge attracts locals and global visitors alike. A clever small plates menu and curated beverage program reflect the cosmopolitan influence of the hotel's guests and staff.

Menu highlights include pre-prepared, mix-and-match sandwich/wrap and side combinations plus salads, in addition to made-to-order paninis and smoothies. With Launch, The Royal Sonesta proudly introduced PJ’s Coffee to Houston. A mainstay throughout New Orleans, where the company was founded and coffee was first welcomed in 1720, PJ’s Coffee prides itself on its Fair-Trade certification, sustainability focus, and use of 100% Arabica species beans selected from the top 1% of the eight-million tons of coffee harvested each year. Patrons have a choice of three brewing methods, including espresso, hot drip, and cold drip, as well as an assortment of high-grown teas. Launch also sells a variety of PJ’s Coffee k-cup varieties, which can be enjoyed in-room or on the road.

Legends Ballroom 

The aptly named Legends Ballroom, The Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria’s preeminent function space, is a highly sought-after venue for lavish weddings and premier social events due to its convenient location in Uptown, the city's hub for shopping, dining, and entertainment. The 11,000-square-foot ballroom with an 18-foot ceiling is divisible into seven flexible spaces with seating from 20 to 1,000, Legends offers a truly grand sense of arrival with its soaring, glass-walled pre-function area featuring a dramatic, free-floating staircase. Accessibility to this grand ballroom is set apart as there is a separate valet entrance from the main hotel offering event exclusivity. 

Founder's Ballrooms 

Founders Ballroom encompasses a 1,800-square-foot pre-function area, a nearly 4,800-square-foot ballroom, and is divisible into four, flexible meeting rooms with space configurations that range from approximately 1,200 to 3,600 square feet. This ballroom is conveniently situated with direct access to the hotel’s parking garage. The chandeliers offer romantic and flattering lighting that creates the perfect ambiance and setting for your wedding. 

Discovery 

Discovery ballroom boasts 8,000 square feet of open exhibit space with a 22-foot ceiling height and is divisible into two sections that can comfortably seat up to 500 guests. This highly functional ballroom offers a convenient yet discreet drive-up door, allowing for easy access for you and your wedding guests. Rigging points strategically positioned on the ceiling, are ideal for custom a/v and lighting usage. 

Champions 

Champions, perched high above Legends ballroom, features the brilliance of natural light pouring in from the glass-walled pre-function area. Its expansive balcony mezzanine is a popular space that can accommodate 150 people seated and 200 people reception-style. Champions is comprised of seven flexible rooms offering two spaces with over 1,500 square feet each plus four additional venues ranging from more than 600 to 1,800 square feet. The lofty and light-filled mezzanine offers a distinctive and spacious setting of approximately 5,000 square feet for dining, cocktails, or ceremonies.
