Indescribable, Ultra Friendly, Covid Safe, 10 STARS! First and foremost, this resort is SO CONSCIOUS about practicing COVID safety; temp checks, hand sanitizers EVERYWHERE and mandatory masks for guests and employees. Actually, all of this is practiced throughout the entire island. This island and resort are gems of the Caribbean. Upon arrival we were greeted by smiling faces and RUM punch! As we checked in, we requested an upgrade to a swim out pool suite and received a complimentary upgrade...

The server, bartenders and managers became like family! We even had a chance to personally meet the chef and thank him for his masterful work. Our room was kept spotless by a fabulous housekeeping staff. We never needed anything, all of these folks made sure our vacation was truly a 10 star experience. In the lobby was a NexusTour desk. They had something for us to do as often as we wanted. The catamaran tour and Rum tours are a must!!! The swimout suite was so much fun, water on the footsteps of our balcony! This was our first and certainly not our last trip to this resort. Love and already miss everyone.

This is truly a five star experience from start to finish. There are so many friendly faces (even behind the mask) they're serious about safety and there are plenty of hand sanitizing stations all over the resort. Due to covid, there are limited number of restaurants and activities available. But i actually love it. Feels like i have the resort to myself.. From alex, giovanni, camille at the pool bar to Lorna, Diana, Simone at azul restaurant and Beatrix at the front desk and akeem at the lobby bar, gypsy the yoga instructor, Sinatra my masseuse, i felt like a vip the whole time. If i left anyone out, I'm soo sorry. You all are the reason i keep coming back!!!!! Fantastic experience each time.

Amazing resort! From the warm aromatic towel and a welcome rum punch to the impeccable cuisine at Azul to the prompt room service, this resort is perfect! The staff is beautifully friendly and accommodating. Looking for an all inclusive in Sint Maarten, look no further!

During this time of Covid, the hotel made us feel very comfortable. While mask wearing and social distancing was practiced, the atmosphere was very relaxing. The food at Azul was AMAZING! AMAZING! The views were amazing! The staff was amazing! We utilized room service several times and every time they got the order right. The lobby bar staff was so friendly and kind and accommodating. You have some wonderful people working here for you!

The website pictures were amazing but seeing the place in person was even better. The entire website was very informational and helpful. The location of the resort was also a huge selling point. We also like the layout of the resort when looking online.

My wife and I stayed here for a week in late September-early October 2020 for our honeymoon. Traveling to SXM airport from NYC during COVID was a breeze (just be sure to get tested and approved by Sint Maarten gov’t beforehand). Our plane was not crowded, and getting through customs was fast & easy.

Located just 5 minutes away from the airport, Sonesta Ocean Point is BY FAR the nicest all-inclusive resort we’ve stayed at. In fact, its one of the best resorts we’ve ever stayed at, PERIOD.

September is usually quiet season on the island, and that was even moreso the case with COVID. Sonesta Ocean point is a large resort, and we essentially had it all to ourselves- which was incredible. Maho beach, a popular tourist attraction where planes fly in directly overhead, is adjacent to the resort. I’m told the beach is typically packed; yet we were literally the only people on it during our stay- awesome!

We booked a butler suite and the room was sanitized & extremely clean upon our arrival. Housekeeping left us a personalized note congratulating us on our nuptials- a thoughtful touch! COVID understandably has people on edge- but there are sanitizing stations everywhere on the premises & we never once felt that the resort cut corners when it comes to cleanliness & safety. All of the facilities including the gym were spotless.

The previous reviews citing the excellence of the staff cannot be understated. Not only is the resort beautiful, but the people working there truly go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. Bartenders Keric, Edward, Akeem, Sheryl, Alexandra, Etc, kept the drinks flowing & brought great energy.

The butlers assigned to us- Sandrine, Thime, Yannick, etc- were accessible by mobile phone & happy to help at a moment’s notice. Whether it was to place a food order, book a tour, break change for tips, etc, they were all fabulous and made our stay that much more enjoyable.

The food- easily the best we’ve had as far as all-inclusives go. Restaurant food is made to order (not buffet style) and the room service menu is solid. Lunch & dinner restaurant options change daily & are well-portioned. The hosts & servers here were attentive & checked in frequently: Sharon, Tiffany, Anthony, Angel, etc- thank you!

The spa has options for both indoor and outdoor massages. We booked a couples massage on the point- a scenic gazebo on a cliff overlooking the ocean. My wife & I agreed that it was the best massage we ever had - and we get them at every resort we visit. Snatra & her partner did a great job.

Although not all attractions and restaurants were open on the island, there was still plenty to do. Nexus tours, located in the lobby, made booking events easy. We rented an ATV, toured Toppers’ rum distillery, and went on a rhino boat tour- all highly recommended. The French side recently reopened and is worth checking out for a day.

This was one of our favorite vacations ever. The island itself is beautiful. Every person we encountered was kind & genuinely appreciated having tourists again after months of quarantine. We can’t wait to come back & see the island when it is bustling, and won’t hesitate to stay at Sonesta Ocean Point or recommend it to others. Thank you!

Quick and easy and very friendly check-in. Very clean and loved that their were sanitizing stations everywhere you went. Absolutely amazing. Everything was great and was available. Staff was the best we have ever seen. Spa was very clean. Very nice and massage was exactly what we needed. Everything was amazing. All staff was great and the food was top of the line and always hot.

My check in was super simple being so close to the airport! When I arrived I was instantly greeted by whelcoming faces knowing our arrival schedule. We received an amazing tour of the browns and proceeded to a thermal scanner at check I. Which we really appreciated in these times! I LOVEEDD the cold towel and cocktail provided upon entry! Concierge was extremely welcoming and told us everything we would possible need to know! Great experience!

Swim out suite was amazing, especially the hotel bathroom products. 

Great staff at Azul and it was so nice that everyday the menus changed to mix it up and everything was delicious every night! Every person on your team was so amazing it would be a disservice to them to only name a few but Dane suggested an amazing restaurant on the island for us and was very pleasant and the bellhop was also one of the most friendly faces on the island, also our entire dinner waitstaff was the best service I've ever had!

Sheryl at the pool bar was amazing and very friendly! Frank at the lobby bar always had my drink ready everytime I came back from the beach! He's a great bartender. The entire staff at the Azul restaurant were professional and courteous. Sharon was always making sure everything was top notch at the restaurant. Big thanks to the entire staff at Azul!

The restaurant was amazing. I was so impressed with hostess Diana at the Azul restaurant. She was always so inviting and personable. She always greeted me by name when I saw her in the morning or afternoon for breakfast and lunch. It was always a pleasure to see her. She always made sure I was well attended to. Her positive attitude was magnificent and she was very professional and well poised all The time. I also want to recognize the spa concierge. She is amazing! So positive and uplifting, just what is needed for full relaxation. She is also very knowledgeable about the services. She made sure every detail was as requested. All safety measures were great and well controlled.

My husband and I received a warm welcome from the moment we stepped out of our vehicle until we reached our room...it was a great feeling...felt like Royalty. With each walk we took there was a welcoming face.

Cleanliness all around, the team did a fantastic job. There were different persons assigned to different locations and they did their part to ensure everything was up to standard. The pool was amazing, at one point we had the pool to ourselves....it was perrrrfect.

The staff at the pool bar ensured that we were well taken care of. The room was serviced every day, fresh towels and spotless cleaning. ROOM SERVICE was da bomb!! 24hrs unlimited food....I looooove to eat so this is my jam! My breakfast, lunch and dinner was on point! I am happy we didn't have to leave the room to eat, at home cooking is something I do on a regular basis so to have received the opportunity of not cooking while I was there was superb! The food was great! Kudos to the chef!

At the pool unlimited drinks and cocktails. They all impressed us but the chef impressed us the most. Whenever we ordered room service they called to see if we got our food, if we enjoyed it and always sent someone to come and get the dirty utensils. We loved that! My husband is a workout fanatic...the minute he saw the gym that was it. He even enjoyed that he had it all to himself with no time limit...he spent over 2 hours there. Racquel did a fantastic job at the spa...enjoyed every moment of it.

Can't wait to go back. You guys were amazing. Really got more than we expected....you guys went above and beyond to make sure our stay was worthwhile.

The suite was impeccable with impeccable furnishings. Everything has been chosen with taste. From the welcome to the meal, including room service - impeccable. The chef offers a varied menu that has been carefully crafted and pleasing to the eye as well as to taste.

A special mention for the room service (team) which made our stay a marvel because of their availability, their efficiency, their thoroughness and their undeniable kindness !! A thousand thanks to the Ocean Point team! We have been amazed by the whole team at Azul but a special and particular mention to Dan, Sharon, Pauline and Tiffany!!
