  • 8th Annual Lighting of the Balconies Tuesday December 3rd at 6:00 p.m. 

    With a ceremonial “flip of the switch,” two young patients from Children’s Hospital will experience the thrill of illuminating the hotel’s elaborate wrought-iron balconies with thousands of twinkling lights.  The ceremony takes place outside the hotel's main entrance at 300 Bourbon Street with a full line-up of musical performances.  This annual celebration is free and the public is invited!
     
  • Holiday Choirs

    Each weekday at 12 Noon during the month of December, elementary and high school choirs from across the metro area spread holiday cheer with musical performances in the hotel’s main lobbyView choir calendar here

  • Royal Teddy Bear Tea 

    Beginning Saturday December 14th through Monday December 23rd, the Royal Sonesta’s Grand Ballroom is transformed into a ‘Winter Wonderland‘ where holiday characters come to life right before your eyes.

  • Royal Teddy Bear Tea Ornament

    Because the Royal Sonesta embraces a ‘culture of giving,’ the hotel commissions local artist Colleen Toye to create the 2013 limited edition, handcrafted, signed and numbered ornament. Proceeds from the sale of these holiday keepsakes benefit Children’s Hospital in New Orleans.  The adornments are available for $20 each and may be purchased at all Royal Teddy Bear Tea seatings or by calling the Holiday Hotline at 504-553-2328.
