Irvin Mayfield’s Jazz Playhouse at the Royal Sonesta Hotel announces the 4th annual Love Sessions - A Festival of Giving pairing outstanding Jazz music with fundraising for a different non-profit organization each night. Love Sessions runs from Friday August 23rd through Thursday August 29th, culminating with the anniversary of hurricane Katrina.

Teaching Responsible Earth Education (T.R.E.E.)
Educates children and adults about the life science processes that govern our planet and inspires them to appreciate the natural world while motivating them to protect it.
Legacy Donor Foundation
Provides education and public awareness activities about organ donation. Their mission is to increase donor registrations and foster informed family acceptance of the process.
Sunday August 25
Offers long-term housing to women who are victims of commercial sexual exploitation, human trafficking or are leaving prostitution. The two-year residential program offers a holistic approach to recovery including housing, food, mental and physical healthcare, job training and education.
Monday August 26
Unity of Greater New Orleans
Through collaborative partnerships, this organization provides housing and services to the homeless.
Tuesday August 27
Son of a Saint Foundation
Dedicated to enhancing the lives of fatherless young males through organized sports programs, mentorship and education.
Wednesday August 28
Louisiana Children’s Museum
Promotes memorable, hands-on participatory learning for children of all ages. Encouraging discovery through observation, inquiry, creative construction, role-playing, problem-solving, and free play, the Museum motivates children to develop their cognitive, physical, and social skills while enjoying fruitful interaction with adults and peers.
Thursday August 29
New Orleans Jazz Orchestra – Hurricane Katrina Remembrance
A performing arts institution dedicated to creating and presenting authentic jazz experiences that celebrate the origin and transform the future of jazz. NOJO’s mission is to strengthen the business of Jazz through presenting a concert season of events, music education, tours, recordings, and community partnerships.
