Location:
The Royal Sonesta Hotel is located in the heart of the historic French Quarter on one of the world’s most famous entertainment corridors, Bourbon Street.  The hotel is within walking distance to the Mississippi Riverfront, the Central Business District, and world famous visitor attractions. The Louis Armstrong International Airport is approximately 16 miles from the hotel’s front door.

Accommodations: 
The Royal Sonesta is constructed in the rich traditional French Quarter style, with gabled windows, double French doors and wrought iron laced balconies.  Each of the 483 guest rooms offers views of vibrant French Quarter life, a stunning pool and patio terrace, or the lush tropical courtyard and fountain.  All guest rooms feature flat-screen televisions, pillow-top mattresses, in rom safes and high-speed Internet access.  The hotel has 35 luxurious suites, including the highly coveted Bourbon Street balcony Suites and the Presidential Suite.  The R-Club on the 7th level has 30 rooms and 2 suites with private elevators, concierge, club lounge and special amenities. The hotel is known for its courtyards with local plants and trees unique to the area. Both barrier-free and ADA compliant rooms are available.

Services & Facilities:
Services include a Concierge Center, Room Service, Translation Assistance, and a Travel Agency. The Fitness Room features the latest in Cybex equipment.  The outdoor swimming pool, Oasis Pool Bar, and cabana spa services are located on the 3rd floor Terrace area.

Meeting Facilities:
20,000 square feet of function space and 20 meeting rooms can accommodate groups up to 700 guests.  The Grand Ballroom, with 5,000 square feet, is divisible into two sections.  For additional meeting space and courtyard access, the Fleur De Lis Suite offers 3,900 square feet of intimate space for private functions.  A dedicated convention services and catering team is available to attend to all special event details. A full-service A/V production company is available on site, as well as a virtual business center with 24-hour accessibility. Executive-level meetings can be conducted in the hotel’s state-of-the art Board Room that features the latest in broadcast and telecommunications technology.

Transportation:
Airport Shuttle provides private shuttle service to and from the hotel for $20 one way and $38 round trip per person, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Taxicab service is also available. Limousine and car service may be arranged through the concierge. The hotel has a covered parking garage and valet service. Group transportation can be arranged by Conference Services or Concierge as a bus permit must be obtained for passenger busses to enter the French Quarter.

Dining & Entertainment:
Desire Oyster Bar is a casual street-side bistro serving fresh Louisiana seafood daily as well as traditional New Orleans cuisine.  Desire has expanded its selections to include Breakfast on world-famous Bourbon Street.  PJ’s Coffee Café, a local’s favorite, offers light dining options in a friendly café setting.  The hottest jazz venue in town, Irvin Mayfield’s Jazz Playhouse, presents emerging young artists and contemporary jazz legends seven nights a week.  The stylish jazz club offers a complete beverage menu and is a great spot to catch a late night bite while out on the town.  Le Booze Lounge on Bourbon Street is the perfect place for cocktails and people watching. Hospitality Suites are available and can provide full-service private dining and specialized room service.
