Responsible for setting up and breaking down all function rooms as assigned by the Banquet Manager or Banquet Captain. Keep banquet storeroom clean and organized at all times. Verify that function rooms are locked and A/C and lights are turned off before leaving for the evening. This is a PM position. Previous hotel experience preferred.
Desire Oyster Bar
Serves meals to patrons in our casual dining restaurant. Acts as a customer relations clerk of the hotel. Takes orders, clears tables as needed, refills condiments, sets up tables according to Desire Oyster Bar standards. Other duties as needed. Prior experience or training in high volume fast paced outlets preferred. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
Guest Service Representative
Responsible for warmly and sincerely receiving, registering, and checking out guests in an efficient and effective manner. Provides general banking services for guests. Maintains and updates registration and key files at all times. Monitors hotel guest parking charges to ensure the collection of revenue. Familiarization with standard and special credit/accounting procedures for guests and groups. Control the issue of room keys according to procedures. Assist in reservations and PBX as needed. One year customer service experience required. Hotel experience preferred. The qualified candidate will possess excellent customer service and problem solving skills. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
Assist the Horticulturalist in choosing plants appropriate to the design needs and environmental limitations of a given location. Preparing, planting and monitoring of the hotel's gardens. Assisting the Horticulturalist with seasonal hotel decorations and any other duties as needed.
The housekeeping supervisor provides the highest level of guest service possible. The position requires the motivation and supervision of a minimum of 6 employees to ensure the Sonesta Room Standards are met for a minimum of 100 rooms. Must establish a comprehensive understanding, practice, and enforce the Sonesta Housekeeping and People standards. Knowledge of the required cleaning chemicals to ensure proper use. Comprehensive knowledge of all items required in guest rooms and their basic function: linens, furniture, carpet, beds, TV, literature, bathroom fixtures, etc. Must report all defects immediately. Inspect and electronically key in all guest rooms in accordance with the Sonesta standards. Provide input for evaluations and assist in motivating employees to improve performance. Other duties as needed. Housekeeping and supervisory experience are required.
The qualified candidate is required to provide exceptional guest service which is achieved by cleaning and preparing guest rooms for occupancy. This candidate should provide personal service by greeting guests and assisting them as needed. Must demonstrate the housekeeping and Sonesta guest standards. Responsible for properly using the chemicals needed to clean ad prepare guest rooms. Must be knowledgeable of guest rooms and report maintenance problems and concerns immediately. Must be able to clean approximately seventeen rooms within eight hours while meeting the Sonesta standards. Other duties as needed. Housekeeping and hotel experience required. Experience at a comparable hotel is preferred.
Fit all new and old employees for uniforms and maintain accurate uniform cards on all employees. Inform linen room manager when supplies or uniforms need to be ordered. Repair guest requests within reason as well as drapes, spreads and other items. Other duties as needed.
Check log book daily to see which rooms need to shampooed. Responsible for shampooing public areas, corridors, and upholstery. The qualified candidate must frequently lift and/or move 50 to 100 pounds.
This position is required to provide exceptional guest service, which is done by cleaning and preparing guest rooms for occupancy. The position is also required to provide personal service by greeting guest with enthusiasm and assisting as needed.
Acts as the groomer of the service team, clearing debris, clutter and dishes as appropriate throughout the meal.
The Food Runner is primarily responsible for the delivery of food from the kitchen.
The front server acts as the expeditor of service. Required to be fully aware of what is happening at each table at all times through communications with the Captain. The position is the lead on the expedition of all courses. Previous experience in a fine dining restaurant preferred
Responsible for greeting guests warmly and sincerely, and escorting them to tables. Knowledge of Open Table preferred. Other duties as needed.
Must follow all prescribed recipes, use all products according to guidelines, report all waste to Chef, properly store and rotate all food items.
