Housekeeping Supervisor
The housekeeping supervisor provides the highest level of guest service possible. The position requires the motivation and supervision of a minimum of 6 employees to ensure the Sonesta Room Standards are met for a minimum of 100 rooms. Must establish a comprehensive understanding, practice, and enforce the Sonesta Housekeeping and People standards. Knowledge of the required cleaning chemicals to ensure proper use. Comprehensive knowledge of all items required in guest rooms and their basic function: linens, furniture, carpet, beds, TV, literature, bathroom fixtures, etc. Must report all defects immediately. Linen Room Attendant
The Linen and Uniform Room of the Royal Sonesta Hotel is responsible for the maintenance and tracking of uniforms for employees, housing of banquet linen and supplies, maintaining and ordering of hotel bedding and the operation of an in-house laundry. This will be a full- time position, with the employee working from 4:00 am-12:00pm. Responsible for issuing all linens for rooms and food & beverage and making sure that the requisitions are correctly filled out by the departments. Responsible for serving food and beverage to patrons in the RClub Hospitality suite. Assist in cleaning other kitchen equipment such as pots and pans. Must handle all dishes carefully to prevent breakage and losses. Responsible for using the correct cleaning chemicals for designated items according to OSHA standards. Set up work station with proper equipment and organize the breakdown area for dirty ware. Remove excess food and debris from soiled ware before placing in the machine. Remove washed ware, allow them to dry, and put them away in designated area. Inspect the cleanliness and condition of all washed equipment areas and clean any items not meeting standards again. Report damages, maintenance problems, or safety hazards to supervisor immediately.
