Jordan Cooper was named General Manager at Sonesta Hotel Philadelphia in June 2012. In this role, he oversees all operations of the 445-room Center City hotel, and leads repositioning efforts around the Sonesta brand introduction in the Philadelphia market.
Cooper boasts more than 20 years of experience in hospitality management, including strong knowledge of the Philadelphia market. He was most recently general manager at the Wyndham Hotel in downtown Chicago, and prior to that held general manager positions with Hilton, Millennium, Doubletree, and Marriott, including the Warwick Hotel & Towers and Crowne Plaza Cherry Hill.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Michele Simpson was introduced as Director of Sales & Marketing at the 445-room Sonesta Hotel Philadelphia in June 2012. She was uniquely positioned to assist in the hotel’s brand conversion, given her familiarity with the property as Crowne Plaza Philadelphia Downtown’s Director of Sales & Marketing.
In her current role she oversees a team of 10 sales professionals, focused on developing marketing strategies to build Sonesta brand awareness, maximizing market share and revenue, and fostering key relationships in the hospitality industry.
Simpson has 13 years of experience in a Director of Sales & Marketing capacity, spanning three years with Crowne Plaza and nearly a decade with Intercontinental Hotels Group, and she completed marketing and communications coursework at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to working in the hospitality industry, she played in the higher education arena as Coordinator for Men’s Basketball Operations in Penn’s Athletics Department.
