Director of Engineering
Direct the engineering/maintenance operations of the hotel to ensure the safety and comfort of hotel guests and employees and to ensure compliance with all Brand and federal, state, and/or local regulatory and inspection requirements. May have responsibility for the Loss Prevention function. *This is the top Maintenance/Engineering job in a large full-service, luxury, resort, or major flagship hotel with multiple facilities, a number of major outlets, high volume catering and convention facilities, and a large number of VIP and key guests. Supervises a staff of appr. 10 maintenance/engineering tradespersons with specialized expertise in a field or discipline such a plumbing, carpentry, etc. Oversees subordinate managers and supervisors. Some college of advanced vocational training plus four years of experience in general building maintenance and/or construction or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Hotel maintenance and supervisory experience preferred. Professional certification and license if required by law.
Human Resources Manager
Assist in the day-to-day management of Human Resources, which may include one or more of the following areas: recruiting/employment, benefits and pay administration, employee relations, and/ or training for hotel employees. Maintain confidentiality to the extent possible in all HR- related matters. Serve as Director of Human Resources or Assistant Director of Human Resources in his/her absence. Minimum requirements include: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Two years of previous experience in Human Resources is required. Hospitality experience preferred. Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred. Ability to work some nights, weekends and holidays is required.
Banquet Setup and Banquet Servers
Join our banquet team as a setup associate or banquet server hosting events in Hilton Head's premier event spaces and ballroom. Previous banquet or catering service is preferred.
Prepare beverages and/or serve food for the customer in a prompt and courteous manner while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency. Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments. Formal bartending training preferred. Must meet state legal age requirements. Must speak fluent English.
