Preparing meals in accordance with portion and quality standards specified in recipes. Minimizing waste, controlling food coast, assisting in receiving items and taking inventory as required. Maintaining sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area that meet/exceed the state and local Health Board inspection and Sonesta’s requirements.
Providing fast and courteous service of food and beverages to guests and ensuring quality of food and beverage presentation per established standards. Clearing and cleaning tables in a prompt and efficient manner. Performing side-work and any other opening or closing duties as required.
Preparing and serving menu items such as coffees, drinks, sandwiches, salads, etc in a prompt and professional manner, in compliance with food and beverage preparation guidelines. Up-selling menu items and specials to maximize food and beverage revenues. Working within policy to accommodate guests’ special food and drink requests. Ensuring adequate supply of plates, utensils, napkins, and other supplies throughout shifts; replenishing/restocking supplies and inventory according to established procedures and guidelines. Performing all pre-shift and post-shift duties, side-work, and related paperwork. Maintaining a clean, neat and well-organized work area, including but not limited to refrigerators, display cases, counters, and seating areas. Receiving and processing customer payments according to established cash handling policies and procedures to ensure the security of monies, credit and financial transactions.
Accurately balancing all hotel income and expenses for a 24-hour hotel operating period (including but not limited to:room revenue, food and beverage revenue and telephone revenue etc.). Completing and transmitting daily management and accounting reports and support documents. Assisting with other front desk related tasks as needed.
Guest Room Attendant
Cleaning of guest rooms and/or suites in a timely and thorough manner to ensure guest satisfaction, this includes but is not limited to the following: making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, cleaning of kitchen area (if applicable), room refrigerator, coffee maker, cups, glasses, silverware, etc. Responding to guest queries or complaints, special requests to ensure corrective actions are taken to achieve guest satisfaction.
