Resort Closure

On Sunday, September 1, Governor Henry McMaster announced a state of emergency for South Carolina and arranged for the evacuation of the island, with potential to be impacted by Hurricane Dorian. We are taking his lead and will be closing the resort on Monday, September 2, 2019 for arrivals through Thursday, September 5th in order to ensure the safety of our valued guests and team members.

We will continue to monitor the weather and its effect on our coastline and the resort and we will have further updates as to when we will reopen. Please check with our website after the storm has passed for the latest updates. All guests with reservations for the resort during this period of closure will receive a full refund.

Your safety is our first concern, and we encourage you to take care with any travel plans and proceed with the necessary precautions to keep your home and family safe should you fall within Hurricane Dorian’s path.

If you have questions, don't hesitate to contact the resort at 843-842-2400 after the storm has passed through our area or on Sonesta’s customer care line 800-766-3782.

Take care and be safe!
