Parking at Royal Sonesta New Orleans during Mardi Gras

Important Tips

Please note that during Mardi Gras, the 100 to 800 blocks of Bourbon Street will be pedestrian only from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m., Friday, March 1st until Tuesday, March 5th, which means no cars will be allowed to drive on or cross Bourbon Street.  During these times, Hotel staff will be available at the corner of Royal Street and Bienville Street for entry to the Hotel. Please have your confirmation and identification available for registered guests.

Due to limited parking spaces in the French Quarter, we strongly recommend that you leave your car in the garage for the duration of your stay.  Because of the street closures around the hotel, it may not be possible to re-enter the garage if you remove your car.

The streets leading into the French Quarter are closed to vehicles without Access Passes issued by the New Orleans Police Department. Additionally, there is no on-street parking in the French Quarter and parking laws are strictly enforced.

Please keep in mind that the majority of restaurants and attractions are a short walking distance from the hotel. Taxicabs, Uber, pedicabs and public transportation are also readily available, pending parade routes.
