Orange County Great Park

Irvine’s innovative public park is a revitalized Marine Corps Air Station that was decommissioned in 1999. Landscape architects designed the huge parcel around sports, agriculture and the arts. It features a wide array of walking paths and attractions, among them the Great Park Balloon, a 5,000-seat soccer stadium, and Hangar 244, a permanent Heritage and Aviation Exhibition.
