Just in time for the celebration of King’s Day, Royal Sonesta New Orleans’ award-winning Executive Pastry Chef Jacquelyn Jackie” Lopez returns to the pastry scene with the unveiling of her decadent king cakes, which will be sold at the hotel’s resident PJ’s Coffee Café, located at 300 Bourbon Street.

The king cakes will be available from this Saturday, also known as Epiphany or Twelfth Night, through Mardi Gras Day, Feb. 13, in the flavors of New Orleans Traditional or the signature Bourbon Caramel Apple. The delicious confections are priced at $4 per slice or $15 for a whole traditional cake and $5 per slice or $20 for a whole bourbon caramel apple with dulcey glaze cake.

King cakes are perfect to share at the office on Fridays, on the parade route or just to satisfy a sweet tooth. And, as the city celebrates 300 years, Royal Sonesta New Orleans is just getting started celebrating the Mardi Gras season. Next up, the landmark hotel will be gearing up to celebrate its beloved annual signature event, the 48th Greasing of the Poles on Friday, Feb. 9.
