ArtBar to donate a portion of the proceeds from breakfast, lunch and dinner on April 15 to MIT’s Officer Sean A. Collier Self-Scholarship

Cambridge/Boston - Royal Sonesta Boston is honoring One Boston Day with two programs benefitting MIT’s Officer Sean A. Collier Self-Scholarship and Cambridge’s East End House.

Michael Medeiros, general manager, Royal Sonesta Boston, announced today that the hotel will donate a percentage of proceeds from breakfast, lunch, and dinner at ArtBar on Saturday, April 15, 2017 to MIT’s Officer Sean A. Collier Self-Scholarship. “We are down the street from MIT and there isn’t a day that goes by where we don’t think of the sacrifice that Officer Sean Collier made on April 15, 2013,” shared Medeiros. “It will be an honor for us to donate to the scholarship in Officer Collier’s name. We began the tradition last year and are proud to continue.”

Royal Sonesta Boston is also looking to make an impact through East End House’s Infant Necessities Program, by collecting donations of critical baby items such as baby wipes and diapers, which East End House has indicated is an item in great demand. Royal Sonesta Boston will collect such items through April 30 in their hotel lobby.  “We hope to make a difference for the families benefitting from the East End House,” said Medeiros. “We aim to make a difference in people’s lives starting with the community we live in and the guests that we serve.

As a part of their Culture of Caring, Sonesta Hotels & Resorts aspires to greet every Sonesta guest with a spirit of warmth and welcoming. Those aspirations extend deep into the heart of the hotels – right into the lives of their employees. Sonesta Hotels are a member of the communities we serve.
