Director of Finance
Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the Hotel accounting systems, financial statements and budgets, ensuring that generally accepted accounting principles and practices, as well as Sonesta Collection policies, are followed. Special Qualifications, Education & Licenses: • 4 Year College Degree • 3 plus years’ experience in a similar position in an upscale Convention Hotel. • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing. • Compute basic arithmetic to include percentages. • Experience with computers and calculators. • Experience with spreadsheets and hospitality related financial software. • Knowledge in a second language helpful but not required
Conference Services Manager
The ideal candidate will work closely with the Sales, Reservations, Banquets and Culinary departments to administer all logistical aspects of group contracts. The person is responsible to manage all client or event needs from beginning to end, including but not limited to, guestroom accommodations, amenities, VIP's, rooming list, arrival/departure patterns, processing payment methods, vendors, organization of shipment, transportation, on/off site activities, menu specifications, all F&B needs, AV requirements, Forecasting Food & Beverage revenues, etc., and any additional tasks as deemed necessary by the Director of Conference Services. The principal role of this position is to build business relationships and maximize incoming revenues (Food, Beverage, Audiovisual, and Room Rental) from definite group contracts. Creating event experiences which facilitate rebooking future events is a primary goal of the position as well. Markets served will include Corporate, Association, Government, and Other segments as assigned by the Director of Conference Services. The candidate will be the primary liaison with the hotel operations team and provide consistent feedback with key departments to ensure client success.
Food & Beverage
Responsible for setting up and breaking down all function rooms as assigned by the Banquet Manager or Banquet Captain. Keep banquet storeroom clean and organized at all times. Verify that function rooms are locked and A/C and lights are turned off before leaving for the evening. Previous hotel experience preferred. Flexible shifts.
One year experience, excellent customer skills and a clear driving record, must have a valid Texas driver’s license. Drives the hotel van and/or town car, transporting hotel guests to/from assigned destinations safely, efficiently and courteously. Adheres to all local and state driving laws. Ensures safety and security of passengers and vehicle. Flexible shift – (full-time)
Guest Service Representative
Welcomes and registers hotel guests adhering to established credit policies and procedures. Check in and out all hotels guests, as well as assist with requests.
Supervise, train and inspect the performance of assigned associates, public areas supervisor and public areas cleaner ensuring that all procedures are completed to the hotel’s standards. Assist when and where needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
Responsibility for the cleaning and maintaining of guest rooms and public areas in accordance with established hotel procedures.
