David Kohlasch
General Manager

David Kohlasch was named the new General Manager for the Sonesta Gwinnett Place in December, 2013.  With over 30 years of experience in hospitality management, Kohlasch brings focused leadership to the hotel team. Most recently when Sonesta began operations at the 195-room Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore in May 2012, David oversaw the transition and was retained as that property's General Manager.  Kohlasch served in the same capacity at Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, VA, a 500-acre AAA Four Diamond full service resort, spa, golf club and conference center. His experience includes regional operations for Flik Conference Centers, COO/EVP for the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington DC, and director of food & beverage for the Royal Sonesta Hotel Boston.

Mike Boyer
Director of Sales and Marketing

In October 2015, Mike Boyer was named the Director of Sales and Marketing at Sonesta Gwinnett Place Atlanta. With more than 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Mike will spearhead the overall sales and marketing plan for the property and focus his team on thinking, planning and acting strategically to achieve the hotel’s long and short-term goals. Prior to Sonesta, Mike spent the last three years as the Director of Development for Richfield Hospitality.  He has also held sales and marketing leadership positions for Aramark Parks and Destinations, Hilton Worldwide, The Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited, Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa and Marriott International.

Rocco Pisera
Executive Chef

Chef Rocco Pisera of the Sonesta Atlanta at Gwinnett Place brings over thirty years of culinary experience in all aspects of the food and beverage world including hotels, private clubs and independent restaurants. Chef Pisera trained in the European tradition of an apprenticeship working for several chefs at various venues. Chef Pisera oversees all aspects of the culinary operations including outlets Grapevine Restaurant and ArtBar as well as the hotel’s banquet and catering facilities. Chef Pisera has worked in several locals including New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Florida and South Carolina developing his take on regional modern American cuisine.
