Responsible for set up and subsequent breakdown of the breakfast display. Ensures full display of breakfast bakeries. Makes coffee to order and accurately posts guest transactions. Food Runner
Good communication skills. Food knowledge and service experience preferred. Must be able to carry food up and down the stairs. Responsible for freshness of product and upkeep to include but not limited to re-stocking and floor maintenance. Assist servers with delivery of ready to eat food and essential pairings or accompaniments. To assist and maintain work areas in both Front and Back of House. This person must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to push and/or lift 40 lbs. Part time.

Host/ess
Good communication skills and excellent customer service required. Courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating, ensuring hotel’s standards of service. Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and maintain the cleanliness of the room at all times. Assist in monitoring guest needs and all phases of the operation. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends and holidays. This is a seasonal position May-October.

Server-Cocktail
We are currently seeking servers that are personable, friendly, motivated, and a team player. Banquet Manager
We are looking for a passionate, hard-working, career-minded food and beverage professional to join our banquet management team. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about food and beverage and committed to service excellence. You will join our experienced team and work closely with conference services, catering, culinary and stewarding in managing all aspects of running a quality banquet operation. Responsibilities include maintaining relationships with in-house groups to ensure excellent service, providing direction and managing all aspects of the banquet service to ensure high guest satisfaction, arranging all food & beverage details for assigned functions, including linens, table set ups, and decorations, coordinating and supervising the preparation & presentation of buffet set ups, layouts and service of food and beverage, coordinating accurate timing of food delivery to functions, and participating in BEO meetings as assigned. This is an ideal position for an individual with a passion for food and beverage, a high energy level and a desire to succeed. Experience in upscale operations helpful. Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills are necessary. You must demonstrate a track record for success in a fast paced environment. Must have at least three years of banquet management experience.

Culinary

Line Cook
Seasonal May 2015-October 2015 Will manage all aspects of food production for the restaurant and other food and beverage including food preparation. Previous culinary experience in restaurant or hotel kitchen required. Will carry out orders from the line and produce food according to the job specification. Adhere to sanitation practices. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Front Office

Front Desk Agent
Welcomes and registers hotel guests adhering to established credit policies and procedures. Quotes room, rate and availability for current and future dates. One year customer service experience required. Hotel experience strongly preferred. Great customer service skills. Knowledge of Property Management Systems such as Opera a plus. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Guest Services

Bell person
The successful applicant will have a background with demonstrated excellent customer service skills, knowledge of Boston and Cambridge areas and have a valid Massachusetts driver's license with an outstanding driving record. This position requires that you communicate with guests in a hospitable and upbeat manner. Organizational skills are important to ensure efficient service to our guests. Duties include delivering luggage to guest rooms. Previous hotel experience in a similar quality hotel required. Must be able to push and/or lift 75 lbs. or more. Scheduling flexibility is required with availability covering days, nights, weekends and holidays. This is a part-time position.

Housekeeping

Room Attendant/Turndown Attendant
Responsible for performing evening turndown duties, cleaning guest rooms including bathrooms and making beds. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Housekeeping experience required. Prior hotel experience preferred. Detail oriented. This person must be able to work flexible schedule with includes nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to push and/or lift 50 lbs.

The Director of Sales & Marketing for the Royal Sonesta Hotel Boston is responsible for creating marketing strategy and implementing all marketing programs and activities to support revenue goals for the hotel which offers 400 luxurious rooms and 22000 square feet of meeting space with stunning views of the Charles River and the Boston skyline.This position works closely with the General Manager Director of Sales Director of Revenue Management and related staff to develop marketing plans and strategies. This position requires excellent communication skills - verbal and written a passion for marketing and strategic thinking organizational capabilities and detail orientation.

Room Service

Order Taker-Start 03/2015
The Order Taker answers room service telephone and takes guest orders accurately in a helpful, friendly, courteous and professional manner to ensure total guest satisfaction. Up sell sides, desserts and beverages to enhance profitability. Enter orders into computerized system and settles check upon delivery of the order. Process all payments accurately. Handle all of the amenity orders and coordinate delivery with servers. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of all service areas. One year Room Service hotel experience and cashier preferred. Must possess good communication skills. Knowledgeable of Point of Sale systems preferred. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Sales

Communications and Media Relations Manager
The Royal Sonesta Hotel Boston is currently hiring a Communications and Media Relations Manager. Duties include management of the hotel’s website, social media, public relations, online reputation, Internet marketing, internal communications, promotional events, and community relations. You will work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and other members of the Executive team to develop strategies to achieve the Hotel’s marketing and revenue goals. This is an ideal position for an individual who is excited by and has a thorough understanding of the importance of the role social networking and online communities play in engaging today’s guests. The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer, creative thinker and should understand the importance of consistent monitoring and response time required to have the greatest impact from social media. We need a person with top-notch communication and relationship building skills and a track record for success in a fast paced environment in order to keep up with multiple projects, emerging media trends as well as industry trends. This position reports to the hotel’s Director of Sales and Marketing. Proficiency with social media, html, Photoshop, content management, SEO, analytic software, and PPC.

Security

Security Officer On-Call
Patrols hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees and to protect all hotel assets. Answers house calls and assists guests and employees with safety, security and hotel operations. Assists in checking alarm systems, safety and fire equipment systems and closely monitoring security of building doors, service areas and delivery areas. One year experience in same or similar role required. Previous hotel experience preferred. Good oral & written communication skills. This is an on-call position. Must be able to work a flexible schedule mainly overnights, weekends and holidays.

Studio

Studio Attendant
Join our new Coffee Shop, Studio, and be part of the new wave of food service in hotels. Studio operates as our in-house coffee shop as well as provides in room dining for breakfast and lunch. We are looking for staff with customer service experience with a preference towards food service experience. Cash handling experience a plus. Duties for all roles will include counter work (register, preparing beverages and food items) and delivery duties for Studio Express deliveries. This is a seasonal position-May-October.
