Monserrate Sanctuary

The Monserrate Sanctuary crowns the hills that tower up behind the city. It has been a center of pilgrimage and worship since Colonial times. Access is by cable-car or up through the eucalyptus woods on the rack-railway.
Mechanical Access Services:
Gondola: Monday through Saturday: 12:00 m to 11:45 p.m.; Sundays 6:00 am to 6:00 p.m.
Rack-railway: Monday through Saturday: 7:45 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.; Sundays 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
San Isidro restaurant is open from Monday through Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. and you can arrive to the top of the mountain by rack-railway or gondola.

Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden displays a world of nature and color. Jose Celestino Mutis, after whom the Garden was named, was the director of the Botanical Expedition in the late 18th century. The administration of the Garden promotes and provides activities on conservation, environmental education and research on the diversity of Colombian’s flora.
Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Weekends and holidays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Guide tours available.

93 Park

Road 93 A to 93 B between Roads 11 A and 13.
The park was a recovery project initiated by local residents, the city, and a private foundation. The park is framed by modern buildings which includes excellent restaurants for all tastes.

Cycle Way

For the past 35 years, it’s tradition to close 121 kilometers of the main avenues of the city prohibiting the traffic of cars. On Sundays and holidays from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., runners, skaters and cycles appropriated the most important roads of Bogota. At the same time, different stations occupies the green zones of the city: Aerobic instructors, yoga teachers and musicians, among others.
