The monastery is known for its huge library of ancient theological manuscripts and collection of icons and access is limited to professional researchers and theologians.

Ras Mohammed National Park
Ras Mohammed is a designated system of parks and nature reserves protected by strict laws. The park is located in the southern Sinai, 40 miles from the town of El Tor. Ras Mohammed is best known for its crystal clear waters, exquisite coral reefs and a wealth of marine life, including sharks, schools of tuna and dolphins. Many believe Ras Mohammed has the most exquisite coral reefs in the world.
