Adventure in the Sacred Valley
Yucay (February 21, 2007) - The Sacred Valley of the Incas is paradise for anyone who loves sport adventures. The Valley's geography is ideal for a variety of sports, including canoeing, rafting and kayaking or Dellta Flying, each of which is a must for the adventurous spirit visiting Yucay. There are a variety of rivers to choose from and the three most popular, in order of length, are the Urubamba River, the Apurimac River and the Tambopata River.
The famous Inka Trail offers spectacular landscapes and journeys can vary in length and can include overnight camping. Other trails nearby are ideal for mountain biking and horseback riding.
Delta Flying is possible in the mornings, from the Mirador de Racchi to Valley of Urubamba (3900 m.a.s.l).
