Location and Activities
This beautiful agricultural area is known for its fishing, skiing, hot springs and spectacular lakes. Osorno was colonized by Germans, a heritage which can still be seen in its architecture and cuisine. The city offers a Cultural Center, Parque Artesanal (handicraft market) and Cathedral of St. Matthew overlooking the Plaza de Armas.
The hotel is located close to downtown Osorno, overlooking the Rahue River and attached to the Plaza de los Lagos, which includes the Casino Sol, a bowling center, Sportlife Gymm Mittos Pub and 20 local boutiques. Osorno is called the gateway to the lakes region, located in Patagonia about 500 miles south of Santiago.
There is a shopping plaza attached to the hotel and there are other opportunities to shop for local crafts nearby.
