(Boston - May 25, 2006) Sonesta Hotels, Resorts & Nile Cruises has announced two new cruise ships on the Nile. The all-suite Sonesta Star Goddess will begin service in June. This four-deck ship features 33 suite cabins, each offering direct dial international telephone line, Internet access, climate control, hairdryer, mini-bar, safety deposit box, television with movies, and full size tub. The five-deck Sonesta St. George I will begin service in July and features 49 cabins and 10 suites. All cabins features double glassed open panoramic windows, private direct-dial telephones, wireless Internet access with laptop in each room, hairdryer, safety deposit box, mini-bar, climate control, 21" LCD television with satellite programming. Cabin bathrooms offer steam, Jacuzzi, shower and music and water massage.
Each ship also features an outdoor swimming pool, jogging track and spa with gym, massage, sauna and Jacuzzi. In-room dining is available until midnight, and there is a dining room, bar, lounge, BBQ, swim up pool bar, a discotheque, belly dance show, captain’s welcome party and several shows and theme nights on each ship. The two new ships will offer 3, 4 and 7 night cruises between Luxor and Aswan. (7-night is roundtrip Luxor.)
The addition of these two new ships brings Sonesta’s cruise ship total to 5 in addition to the 5 hotels and resorts operated in Egypt. The Star Goddess and St. George I join the Sonesta Moon Goddess, Sun Goddess and Nile Goddess already in operation.
Each ship's amenities include several restaurants and lounges, in-room dining available until midnight, panoramic elevator, purified water, outdoor BBQ, international telephone line and wireless internet access, jogging track, outdoor swimming pool, spa and fully equipped gym. The ships also offer evening entertainment beginning with captain's welcome cocktail party, oriental black tie "Galabeya" party, Nubian folkloric show and themed nights throughout your cruise.
