Driven to Greatness; New Cars to Go to Sonesta Maho Resort Employees of the Year

MAHO, St. Maarten (May 23, 2013) – Three outstanding employees who show their commitment to top-notch customer service and improvement of guest experience at Sonesta Maho Beach Resort and Casino, Sonesta Great Bay Resort and Casino Royale will drive home this Christmas in a brand new car.

As part of its outstanding employee program, The Maho Group purchased three Hyundai i10 cars and this week positioned them at the entrance of the resorts as a constant reminder to staff of the value and rewards of providing excellent customer service.

All employees are in the running to win one of the cars. It doesn’t matter if they are a front of the house worker or are busy at the back of the house. The main criteria are commitment to the job and making sure guests have the best experience possible.”

“This latest incentive demonstrates the Maho Group’s on-going commitment to motivate and encourage its employees to always strive for excellence,” say Vice President Hotel Operations for The Maho Group Armando Pizzuti and Vice President Casino Operations Jamie Lee.

Each department head at the three resorts will be responsible for monitoring employees and selecting one candidate for outstanding employee recognition. Department heads will present a biography on the team member and reasons for selecting each candidate. The reasons must reflect the goals of customer service, dedication to tasks and overall manner in working as part of a team. 

A panel of independent judges will review all entities close to year end. The panel will include people from business community, especially from the service industry. No judge will be affiliated with The Maho Group or Casino Royale.

A winner will be selected from each of the Sonesta resorts and Casino Royale and the car presented to the outstanding employee at the resort’s Christmas party.
