MAHO, St. Maarten (February 12, 2013) – St. Maarten’s distinct flare for entertainment, culture and the art is renowned in the Caribbean. Starting Thursday evening, February 14, one weekly event will ties all of those elements together – the MAAGICAL MAHO Street Fair.
Sonesta Maho Beach Resort and Casino continues its commitment to enhance the destination with this weekly street fair in February and March. The resort invites residents and visitors to be part of maagic!
Maho’s new, festive celebration has something for everyone! Whether you were born embracing the beautiful St. Maarten culture, or a traveller visiting our gorgeous, Caribbean isle, the event is surely one not to miss—-it’s fun for the entire family!
Maho Village, the island’s “destination within a destination,” will be transformed on Thursday evening with local crafters and artisans displaying and selling their creations on tables and booths lining the bustling street.
Maho Village merchants will offer promotions on locally made products and give away samples.
Food vendors will provide cotton candy, shaved ice, and popcorn. Clowns will entertain with balloon animal creations, caricature drawings, face painting, and much more.
And, fire dancers will enchant them all.
St. Maarten’s blend of classic Caribbean and contemporary tunes will fill the air to create a magical and unique experience this Valentine’s Day and every following Thursday. Local artistes will kick-start the party and enliven the crowd enticing all to move to the island’s beats. Together, they will create the ultimate, festive atmosphere.
MAAGICAL MAHO will run one night per week, for the next four weeks. The event dates are February 14, February 22, March 1, and March 8.
