Lowell Observatory

The Lowell Observatory features day/night telescope viewings, guided tours, multimedia shows, exhibits, and is home to the 4.3-meter Discovery Channel Telescope that was completed in 2012.  Peer through the telescope that founder Percival Lowell used to sketch Mars or visit the telescope that helped discover Pluto in the 6,500-square-foot Steele Visitor Center.  The Lowell Observatory is a private, nonprofit, research institution that was founded in 1894 but remains on the edge of the latest science and technology as new discoveries are made.

The Lowell Observatory is open daily year round with seasonal hours available on their website.
