The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the Assistant Controller and Controller in all aspects of accounting such as accounts receivable, payable, income audit and general cashier. The accounting clerk will also assist with the general ledger and balance sheet accounts. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is preferred and knowledge of Micros, Opera, Yardi, CIA and other accounting databases is a plus.
Line Cook 1
Prepare and cook food with attention to cleanliness, sanitation, quality standards, taste, timeliness and cost effectiveness with respect for fellow cooks and the Hotel environment. Minimum 3 years experience required as well as culinary education. Demonstrate knowledge of all cooking techniques. High volume, high quality cooking experience. Must be able to communicate in English and supervise Line Cook 2, 3 and Stewards.
Responsible for the repair, maintenance, upkeep and replacement of the property’s cosmetic materials (interior/exterior painting, patching of woodwork and furniture refinishing), in accordance with hotel standards. Assists in other areas of Engineering as assigned.
Front Desk Supervisor
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Performs all duties related to checking in and checking out of guests. Conduct pre-shift meetings with all guest service staff daily. Supervises the front desk agents to ensure that their performance is up to Sonesta Service Standards. Delegates tasks to clerks as needed. Checks front desk work for consistency and accuracy and handles any problems that may arise. Oversees the completion of all guest service checklists. Verifies all house accounts and investigates all room discrepancies. Communicate all pertinent information to manager/supervisor for following shift.
Oversees and ensures the quality and service of the Hotel Restaurant. Establishes par levels for supplies and equipment. Completes requisitions to replenish shortages or additional items. Requisitions linen/skirting. Maintains stock of wines/champagnes and orders shortages noted and ensures proper storage. Ensures staff is aware of status of specials. Prepares weekly work schedules, reviews payroll and tip distribution for staff. Assigns work and side duties to staff. Monitors the presentation of station assignments, ensuring compliance of standards. Monitors staff performance. Monitors and maintains cleanliness of restaurant and equipment. Minimum 2 years of restaurant or food and beverage management experience. Experience with payroll, scheduling and training employees. English required, bilingual preferred.
Supervises all aspects of the restaurant and room service by ensuring top efficiency and high guest satisfaction. Assist in the coordination and supervise preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverage products to ensure highest quality at all times. Inspects all side stations assures fully stocked for shift. Responsible for Restaurant and Room Service set-up procedures and overall staff appearance. Resolves any complaints, questions or comments from guest. Daily inspection of restaurant and room service physical appearance. Inspect all menus for good conditions. Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year previous experience as a Food and Beverage Supervisor. Must be hands on with a strong knowledge of restaurant operations. Must speak English.
Director of Residence
Coordinate all activities related to Unit Owners and the Hotel Program. Provide services to Unit Owners before, during and after their visits. Develop strategies to maximize Unit Owner satisfaction. Promote and increase participation in the Hotel Program. Create procedures for coordinating Unit Owners related events and matters. Handle Unit Owner requests. Maintain controls to ensure proper coordination with all departments in the hotel to achieve maximum satisfaction of Unit Owners and VIP’s.
The Group Sales Manager will be responsible for managing, prospecting and penetrating accounts from designated regions and/or markets. The Manager must meet or exceed sales goals, solicit new group business and develop existing accounts. Minimum of 4 years of hotel sales experience required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have excellent communication skills. Bilingual a plus.
