Banquets

Banquet Set-Up
Ensures clean, orderly and timely set-up of banquet and meeting function rooms. Ensures all equipment is in good condition & presentable. Breaks down the meeting and banquet rooms including tables, chairs, stages, water, ashtrays, matches, pads and pencils. Vacuum carpet, shampoo when necessary.

Culinary

Line Cook 1
Prepare and cook food with attention to cleanliness and sanitation, quality standards, taste, timeliness and cost effectiveness with respect for fellow cooks and the hotel environment. Minimum 3 years experience required as well as culinary education. Demonstrate knowledge of all cooking techniques. High volume, high quality cooking experience. Must be able to communicate in English & supervise Line Cook 2, 3 and Stewards.

Line Cook 3
Responsible for full set up and preparation of hot food items for restaurants. Assists Restaurant Chef with organization and sanitation of main kitchen including walk-ins & freezers. Control quality and consistency of all food served. Insure that station or relevant prep list is set in a timely manner. Assists in controlling food costs. Demonstrates knowledge of all food items produced by an assigned station. Handles and stores food properly and safely. Produce all orders consistently, quickly, and in accordance with established quality standards. Demonstrates safe and competent use of all tools: knives, pots, pans, stoves, ovens, grills, slickers, steamers, etc. Demonstrates knowledge of all basic techniques: sauté, braise, poach, grill poele, fry, steam, etc. Dress in the full appropriate uniform at all times. Respect scheduled hours of work and have all exceptions to these scheduled hours approved by a manager. Demonstrate respect for fellow associates, equipment, and customers. Helps assist in other areas of kitchen when not busy.

Front Office

Bell Person
Carries luggage to guest rooms. Assists in maintaining the concierges desk in absence of concierge. Handles baggage for tour groups. Hotel experience preferred. Must be able to push and/or lift 50 lbs. or more. Good customer service skills. English required.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping Supervisor (Temporary Position)
Monitors and maintains level of cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, laundry, restrooms and public areas. Submit to engineering & management work orders for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment, and reallocation of space. Maintains cost control systems for linen inventories and cleaning supplies. Maintains productivity and labor cost goals. Assists Director of Housekeeping in supervising housekeeping staff. Other related duties. Minimum 2-3 years of hotel housekeeping experience. Must posses at least 1 year of management experience. Experience with payroll, scheduling and training employees. Excellent verbal and written skills required. English required, bilingual preferred.

In-Room Dining

Room Service Server
Serves meals to guests in their room. Timely, proper set-up/delivery and in-room service of all room service orders (in accordance with Sonesta performance standards). Reports guest comments (positive and negative) to supervisor. Gets involved in corrective actions. Previous Room Service hotel experience preferred. Able to push or lift up to 50lbs. English required.

Kitchen

Steward
Cleans and sanitizes pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment. Other related duties. Prior hotel experience preferred. Basic English required. Must be able to push and / or lift up to 50 lbs.

Panorama Restaurant

Restaurant Server
Expected to greets guests at initial contact. Present menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service. Take guest orders properly and promptly. Write all orders on check legibly. Ring all Food and Beverage items and settle guest check. Relay guests orders to the kitchen, serve courses from kitchen and service bars. Must use correct service procedures. Observes diners during service to respond to any additional requests and to determine when their meal has been completed. Ladles soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, and perform other services as determined by establishment’s size and practices. Completes all closing duties, including proper breakdown of dining room. Set up dining room with clean and polished equipment.
