Opened on January 1st, 1974 and its first run was inaugurated by Misael Pastrana Borrero, then president of Colombia. With a holding capacity of more than 15,000 people, this magnificent gem of modern architecture (with a crown shape) has general and presidential sections.
The Atlantic Coast has been nominated recipient of merit for the regions excellence in baseball. History of the region is heavily tied into the sport through the continental championships which have been very popular since the 60’s. This stadium, the “Colombian baseball Temple”, was built in 1947 and in addition to the field, has three stands in one corner of the diamond. It has capacity for 3,544 spectators.
