Sonesta Travel Pass Terms and Conditions

  1. Enrollment into the Sonesta Travel Pass program is complimentary and is available to individuals residing in countries that legally permit participation in frequent stay programs. Membership in and application for membership, in the Sonesta Travel Pass program, is void if prohibited by law in the country of the member or applicant’s domicile.
  2. Membership levels are as follows: Member level begins upon enrollment; Preferred level requires three (3) qualifying stays; Elite level requires six (6) qualifying stays.
  3. A qualifying stay is defined as consecutive nights in the same hotel regardless of the number of check-ins/check-outs that may occur. The member must reserve the room in the member's name and stay overnight. Members can not earn credit for day use (same arrival and departure date).
  4. Stay credit for Sonesta Travel Pass is for individual travel only. Only one Sonesta Travel Pass member will receive credit for a stay, regardless of the number of members staying or sharing in the room. To receive a stay credit, reservation must be booked with qualifying rates.
  5. Qualifying rates are determined by Sonesta International Hotels Corporation and can be deemed non-qualifying at any given time, without prior notice. All reservations booked on Sonesta.com are eligible to receive program benefits (excluding government and group rates). Sonesta Travel Pass members are not eligible for any benefits when booking through pre-paid and any internet third party channels, such as, but not limited to, priceline.com, expedia.com, hotels.com, hotwire.com, site59.com, travelocity.com (non-retail rates), orbitz.com (non-retail rates), travelweb.com (non-retail rates) etc. Other rates that do not earn Sonesta Travel Pass credit are crew rates, employee rates, complimentary rates, certain contracted rates and charters. Groups can not enroll in Sonesta Travel Pass.
  6. Benefits are provided only to Sonesta Travel Pass members during their stay and are not redeemable for monies.
  7. Specific Sonesta Travel Pass benefits and services have been established for all members; however, benefits and services offered by participating hotels may vary.
  8. Personal Preference: Whenever possible, personal preferences as indicated in the member's online profile such as room type, room location, bed type will be met, based on availability.
  9. Complimentary high-speed Internet access applies to daily in-room usage. Not applicable to in-room television Internet service, hotel work centers or group and meeting space. Sonesta Travel Pass members must be registered guests to receive complimentary high-speed Internet access. Internet connection may not be available at some hotels. A one hour card per stay will be issued for qualifying members to use the internet when staying on board the Sonesta Nile Cruises and Red Sea resorts.
  10. Complimentary room upgrade to the next available room type. Subject to room availability at time of check-in.
  11. Percentage off Restaurant benefit entitles the member to receive a percentage off their check at participating restaurants. Gratuities are not included. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other food and beverage package or special offer. Redeemable at all participating Food and Beverage restaurants at Sonesta Hotels & Resorts. Does not apply for In-Room Dining. Must be presented to your server upon being seated.
  12. Percentage off Resort Amenities benefit entitles the member to receive a percentage off at participating spa or retail outlets. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other package or special offer. Must be presented to your server upon purchase.
  13. Members cannot earn rewards retroactively for stays prior to enrolling. Sonesta reserves the right to lower your benefit level with no activity after 2 years. Sonesta reserves the right to delete any Sonesta Travel Pass account with no activity after 3 years. Guests with deleted profiles will need to re-register for the Sonesta Travel Pass program to become eligible for member benefits and will start at Member level.
  14. Members of Sonesta Travel Pass must be at least 18 years of age. You may be required to provide personal identification with your date of birth in order to verify this upon check-in.
  15. Sonesta Travel Pass membership and its benefits are offered at the sole discretion of Sonesta International Hotels Corporation. All interpretations of Sonesta Travel Pass shall be at the sole discretion of Sonesta International Hotels Corporation.
  16. Sonesta International Hotels Corporation may change the Sonesta Travel Pass guest recognition rules, benefits, tier-level qualifications, processes, regulations, travel or other awards, and special offers at any time, with or without notice. This means that changes may be initiated that affect, but are not limited to, partner affiliations, rules for earning Sonesta Travel Pass redemption levels required for specific awards, rules for the use of awards, continued availability of awards, inventory, benefit types, and the features of special offers.
  17. Sonesta International Hotels Corporation reserves the right to terminate the entire Program with three months advance notice to all then-Active Members, and immediately upon notice to all then-Active Members in the case of a termination relating to the substitution of a similar replacement program.
  18. Sonesta International Hotel Corporation reserves the right to discontinue Sonesta Travel Pass membership for any member who appears to be using the program in a manner inconsistent with these Terms and Conditions. Sonesta International Hotels Corporation also reserves the right to discontinue membership for any member who engages in unruly behavior or conduct unbecoming of a guest of a luxury hotel or resort, or who acts in a manner inconsistent with local or federal laws, statutes or ordinances.
  19. Sonesta Travel Pass membership is for the sole use of that member and is non-transferable.
  20. We reserve the right to correct any Sonesta Travel Pass values, letters, or e-mail statements sent in error.
  21. Members are required to update Sonesta International Hotels Corporation (Sonesta Travel Pass) with any changes to personal information that could affect their membership.
  22. Respecting your privacy is important for us. However, we may from time to time send you certain program information that may include, but is not limited to, marketing materials which will inform you of special offers and products we believe would be of interest to you.
