Brian Fitzgerald
General Manager
Brian Fitzgerald was named General Manager of the Royal Sonesta Hotel Boston in March 2006. Before joining Sonesta, Mr. Fitzgerald served with Interstate Hotels & Resorts, most recently as General Manager of the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in Los Angeles. He was also the General Manager of the Charles Hotel in Harvard Square for 11 years. Mr. Fitzgerald is active in the Cambridge Office for Tourism and the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Catherine Kent
Director of Hotel Sales
Catherine Kent joined the hotel as Director of Hotel Sales in February 2010. In this role she oversees the group, transient and catering sales, and conference services teams. Ms. Kent has extensive experience in sales and marketing, most recently as director of sales and marketing for the Radisson Hotel Boston. She is active in several professional organizations, including membership in NEBTA, GBCVB and Boston Chamber of Commerce.
Ryan Cyr
Executive Chef
Ryan Cyr joined the culinary staff of the Royal Sonesta Hotel as Executive Chef in 2008. In this role he oversees the hotel's banquet and conference meals, as well as the 50-seat ArtBar & Patio. He embraces the hotel's philosophy of using only fresh, local ingredients whenever possible, as well as designing and tailoring menus to best reflect the local seasonal bounty. Chef Cyr most recently worked as the Executive Sous Chef at Sidney’s Restaurant at the Hotel @ MIT.
