Michael Medeiros was named General Manager at the Royal Sonesta Hotel Boston in November 2010. In this role, he oversees all operations of the 400 room hotel and leads the executive committee, which plans and guides all present and future hotel initiatives including the recently completed $6 million rooms renovation.
Mr. Medeiros has been with Sonesta for over 18 years. Prior to accepting this position, he was Director of Operations at the Royal Sonesta Hotel New Orleans. During his tenure with Sonesta he was Director of Food & Beverage at Sonesta hotels in New Orleans and Miami, and Director of Conference Management at the Royal Sonesta Hotel Boston. Mr. Medeiros successfully completed Sonesta’s fast-track management program.
Director of Hotel Sales
Catherine Kent joined the hotel as Director of Hotel Sales in February 2010. In this role she oversees the group, transient and catering sales, and conference services teams. Ms. Kent has extensive experience in sales and marketing, most recently as director of sales and marketing for the Radisson Hotel Boston. She is active in several professional organizations, including membership in NEBTA, GBCVB and Boston Chamber of Commerce.
Brian Dandro joined the culinary staff of the Royal Sonesta Hotel as Executive Sous Chef in 2008. In his new role as Executive Chef he now oversees the hotel's banquet and conference meals, as well as the 50-seat ArtBar & Patio. He embraces the hotel's philosophy of using only fresh, local ingredients whenever possible, as well as designing and tailoring menus to best reflect the local seasonal bounty.
