Seasonal Bartender
Good communication skills. Take food & beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficient. Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment. Previous food server and/or bartending experience is required. This person must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Must be able to push and/or lift 40lbs. This is a position from May through September.

Seasonal Food Runner
Good communication skills. Food knowledge and service experience preferred. Must be able to carry food up and down the stairs. Responsible for freshness of product and upkeep to include but not limited to re-stocking and floor maintenance. To assist servers with delivery of ready to eat food and essential pairings or accompaniments. To assist and maintain work areas in both Front and Back of House. This person must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to push and/or lift 40 lbs. Seasonal position April through September.

Seasonal Host/ess
Good communication skills and excellent customer service required. Courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating, ensuring hotel’s standards of service. Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and maintain the cleanliness of the room at all times. Assist in monitoring guest needs and all phases of the operation. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends and holidays. Seasonal position from May through September only.

Seasonal Server

Banquet Porter-start date 3/15/14
A detail oriented individual with good organization and communication skills required. Will be responsible for the set up of rooms and function areas with as specified by group requirements and in accordance with departmental standards. Previous Banquet set-up experience preferred. This person must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to push and/or lift 70 lbs. Part time position

On Call Banquet Servers
Prepares function rooms for banquet events; sets tables and place settings. Serves food and beverage to guests during banquets functions. Prior hotel and/or banquets experience required. Beverage

Bartender-On-Call start date 3/1/14
Excellent customer service. Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to guests. Accurate, efficient mixing of beverages according to standards and portion control. Other related duties. Previous experience as a bartender required. Ability to lift or/and pull up to 40 lbs. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Catering

Catering Sales Manager

Hotel or equivalent social catering experience required. We are searching for a dedicated individual to both secure new business through networking, research and prospecting, as well as to build rapport with existing clientele. Additional responsibilities include responding to catering inquiries in a timely fashion, attending internal meetings, qualifying potential leads, up-selling food, beverage and hotel services, entertaining clients on property and assisting the Sales and Catering team when needed. This position requires a high level of professionalism, an engaging style, excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational abilities and attention to detail. Experience with Delphi)is helpful. Must have a minimum 3 years experience in catering/conference services. College degree or equivalent in experience necessary. Anticipated start date May 1, 2014.

Engineering

Facilities Coordinator-part time
Performs general office administrative duties in the Engineering Office including but not limited to typing, filing, purchase requests, inventory control, receiving, dispatching, and computer work as required. Daily programming of function room thermostats. Coordinating daily preventive maintenance. Minimum 1 year of repairs & maintenance experience preferred. Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Schedule is Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Food and Beverage

Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef
This position will provide leadership for all Food and Beverage operations (front of house and heart of house) to include revenue, quality and guest (internal and external) satisfaction. This position will directly oversee the culinary department. The selected candidate will participate in sales and marketing efforts to present the Food Is Art concept to our clientele. Key responsibilities include financial management to include revenue growth and expense management; development of all food and beverage team members; ensuring guest satisfaction in all food and beverage outlets. Experience required: at least three yeas’ experience as Executive Chef for luxury hotel, 10 years progressive culinary and management experience, Culinary degree or relevant experience, significant experience in the food and beverage industry overall to include, in addition to culinary background, wine and alcoholic beverage, front of the house operations experience strongly desired.

Supervisor
Experienced supervisor to assist in leading our team in providing excellent service to our guests. Responsibilities will include supervising the service team, managing the section assignments for our team members and monitoring seating patterns during the shift. Additional responsibilities will involve training new hires and building the skills of our experienced team members with some administrative tasks. We are looking for someone with supervisory experience in a restaurant setting (1 year) and at least three years' experience as a service provider in a full service restaurant.

Guest Services

Bellperson/Van Driver-starting 3/1/2014
The successful applicant will have a background with demonstrated excellent customer service skills, knowledge of Boston and Cambridge areas and have a valid Massachusetts driver's license with an outstanding driving record. This position requires that you communicate with guests in a hospitable and upbeat manner. Organizational skills are important to ensure efficient service to our guests. Duties include delivering luggage to guest rooms. This position also assists in maintaining the concierge desk in absence of concierge. Previous hotel experience in a similar quality hotel required. Must be able to push and/or lift 75 lbs. or more. Scheduling flexibility is required with availability covering days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Concierge
Great customer service skills. Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services shopping dining entertainment and travel directions. Thorough knowledge of the Boston and Cambridge area entertainment and attractions required. Previous hotel experience required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Housekeeping

Assistant Director of Housekeeping
The Assistant Director of Housekeeping will have the opportunity to work with the housekeeping team and to ensure that the team cleans and maintains guestrooms and public areas according to the hotel’s high standards of cleaning and service. The qualified candidate will have strong interpersonal and supervisory skills. This position will be responsible for the supervision of guestroom attendants and house persons, and overseeing the cleaning of guestrooms and public areas. The position assigns, inspects and verifies and reports status of rooms. Monitors payroll reports, work schedules and lost and found items. Keeps designated inventories (i.e. linen, etc.) and ensure stock rooms and carts are maintained with proper supplies. Communicates and coordinates with Engineering to ensure the efficient repair and maintenance of items related to guestrooms and public areas. Will work closely with the front office to ensure that rooms are available and that all guest requests are handled in an exceptional manner. Job Requirements: Minimum five years experience in housekeeping required. Supervisory experience in same or similar role required. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook required. Knowledgeable of PMS hotel systems preferred. Bilingual preferred.

Houseperson
Responsible for keeping all floors clean. Make sure that all room attendants on the floors have sufficient linen. Sort and organize incoming and outgoing laundry. Previous housekeeping experience preferred. Prior hotel experience preferred. Detail oriented. Must be able to push and/or lift 60 lbs. This person must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Marketing

Director of Sales & Marketing
The Director of Sales & Marketing for the Royal Sonesta Hotel Boston is responsible for creating marketing strategy and implementing all marketing programs and activities to support revenue goals for the hotel which offers 400 luxurious rooms and 22000 square feet of meeting space with stunning views of the Charles River and the Boston skyline.This position works closely with the General Manager Director of Sales Director of Revenue Management and related staff to develop marketing plans and strategies. This position requires excellent communication skills - verbal and written a passion for marketing and strategic thinking organizational capabilities and detail orientation.

Stewarding
